Digital Planning Basics in Goodnotes

Once you’ve transferred your planner to Goodnotes. There are a few basic things to know about using your digital planner;

How to click on the tabs

1. For the tabs to work, you need to be in the Read-Only Mode in Goodnotes. The pencil icon should look like the icon above with a cross through it. 
2. The read-only mode  lets you navigate through your pages easily.
3. All other inputs, like the pen, are blocked when this mode is active. But, you can click on the tabs with your stylus pen.

How to write on the planner

  • 1. To be able to write on your planner, you need to deselect the Read-Only Mode in Goodnotes. It will look like a pen with a lasso icon.
  • 2. You can use the writing tools like the pen and highlighter in this mode and select images like digital stickers.

3. So, make sure the pencil icon in the top right corner of Goodnotes looks like the one above before you start writing/doodling.
